Chromagen Solar Hot Water

Chromagen is a solar hot water specialist with a number of solar hot water systems in its range. Chromagen solar panels come in two varieties – traditional flat plate and an evacuated tube collector that is suitable for areas prone to hard water or frost.

There are four styles of Chromagen solar hot water. The SplitLine has a flat plate solar panel and a tank on the ground with either a gas or electric booster for heavily overcast days. The SmartLine also has flat plate solar panels and a tank on the ground, but comes with a 6 star rated gas booster.

The more familiar tank on the roof with flat plate panel is called RoofLine. It’s a close-coupled thermosiphon system. For those with limited roof space or who want the tank hidden there is the LowLine, which has a tank with a small electric pump located directly under the solar panel.
