The New LG Water Heater with Huge Energy Saving Potential
Appliance brand LG Electronics is expanding its range to include an innovative new hot water system set to deliver impressive energy savings for customers. The energy-saving LG Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater promises fast and effective water heating performance. It boasts quiet operation and up to 74 per cent less electricity consumption which can significantly reduce running costs.
Additional smart features allow users to control settings from inside the home. The water heater’s modern design makes the typical out-of-sight positioning of a unit no longer so necessary. The new LG water heater range will launch in the US and Europe in early 2021. LG Australia has yet to provide a local release date or local pricing information.
What’s On The Way?
There will be two LG heat pump water heater sizes available. A 200-litre capacity water tank model with A+ energy efficiency and a 270-litre water tank model with A++ efficiency (these ratings are based on the UK system).
LG has equipped its new hot water system with dual inverter compressor technology, which uses two heat sources, so consumers are never left without hot water. The standard heating method is achieved using an internal element and an additional heat pump works like an air conditioner to generate heat using refrigerant gas.
The dual functions allow the system to use up to 74 per cent less energy per year when compared to conventional electric water heaters. LG says the technology ensures users will never go without hot water even during times of heavy use.
LG Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater Benefits
Homeowners can look forward to a multitude of benefits when the LG inverter heat pump water heater arrives. They include:
- Greater energy efficiency translates to an overall lower heating cost, thanks to the DUAL inverter compressor.
- 20% more hot water supply when in turbo mode.
- Quiet operation thanks to its BLDC motor that operates at just 42dB(A).
- Back up heating options, with heat pump and heater technology available for when one or the other fails.
- Easy control using the LG ThinQ app that allows users to check the water temperature in real time.
When connected to Wi-Fi, homeowners can manage and monitor systems remotely and diagnose potential issues without phoning customer service.
New Innovations Taking Hot Water To The Next Level
LG has produced one of the first consumer-grade water heaters to function using heat pump technology. The potential savings could make this upcoming system truly stand out from the market competition.
The LG energy saving Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater is currently on display for all to see at LG’s CES 2021 virtual exhibition.
