Plumbing on Christmas Day

Traditionally everything closes down over Christmas. But not Metropolitan Plumbing. We’re open for plumbing on Christmas Day and across the festive season for emergency plumbing disasters.  We’re on call 24 hours a day every single day including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.  So if your hot water system breaks down just before guests arrive on Christmas Eve, or your toilet is blocked with too much toilet paper that a plunger can’t dislodge, Metropolitan can come to the rescue. What’s even better, we offer our services for no extra charges after hours. What you pay doesn’t change from any normal time or day of the week.

Christmas Jobs

Christmas is a great time for getting all those jobs you’ve been putting off finally done. You can take advantage of Metropolitan’s lack of extra charges and ready availability to get any plumbing work fixed up. For example, you can call on us to put in some new garden taps. This can make watering the garden through the long hot summers so much easier.

If you’re in a renovating mood and giving things a fresh coat of paint, you might notice that your taps are aging. Why not get some new ones and have Metropolitan install them? Even selecting the taps doesn’t require a trip to the crowded hardware shop because our well-appointed vans have a selection on board.

Putting on a big BBQ for a Christmas party and can’t remember if you’ve refilled the gas bottle? Easy! Call Metropolitan. We can connect your BBQ to mains gas for a permanent solution.  It’s probably easier than joining everyone else who needs a gas refill at the local hardware.

Winter Wonderland

Christmas is also the perfect time to get in before the rush and prepare for winter.  Metropolitan has fully qualified gas fitters who can install and service all gas heating, and make sure hot water systems are up to scratch. When that’s done, for safety’s sake we also do a carbon monoxide test to make sure that your heater is functioning properly.

Plumbing Emergency Over The Festive Season

Typically you only call on a plumber during the festive season for an emergency. But with Metropolitan’s no extra charges after hours, you can even do all those jobs you haven’t got around to because work takes up all of your time.  And keep in mind that you can pay off your bill in weekly or fortnightly instalments with our interest free** payment plans.
